Lake Brienz circular route

This loop tour takes you around the beautiful Lake Brienz, known for its turquoise-blue waters. The route runs mostly high above the lake and offers breathtaking views of Lake Brienz and the surrounding mountains. The starting point is Interlaken, from where you’ll cycle clockwise around the lake. Some sections are flat and easy to ride, while others include ascents and descents on gravel. Highlights of the route include the charming village of Iseltwald, the impressive Giessbach Falls, and the picturesque promenade in Brienz.

We do not recommend cycling around Lake Brienz for beginners. If you cycle less often, try the route to Iseltwald or the Giessbach waterfalls.

We recommend an e-bike, unless you are really fit.
