Flying Wheels is the leading provider of rental bicycles, e-bikes, and guided e-bike tours in Interlaken and the surrounding area. Since 2010, we have been enthusiastically showing our guests the beauty of Interlaken, Unterseen, Wilderswil, Matten, and Bönigen, as well as the fascinating Valley of the 72 Waterfalls in Lauterbrunnen, on our guided e-bike tours. Of course, you can also go on a tour on your own, rent a bicycle or e-bike, and explore the area. We’re happy to advise you on where to find the most beautiful spots and sights. We’ve created our own maps with bike routes for this purpose. Whether you’re looking for a bicycle, a mountain bike, an e-bike, or a tandem: we have the right bike for you and are here to help with tips and information about Interlaken and its surroundings.

During our biking season from April to October, we’re open every day from Monday to Sunday (including holidays). At Flying Wheels, you can rent bikes and e-bikes every day. From November to March, our bikes are in hibernation.
We are closed in bad weather conditions (heavy rain, storms, hail, thunderstorms, cold). However, you probably don't want to go on a bike tour on such days 😉 You can find up-to-date information on days when we are closed on Google .

Starting Monday, October 19, 2026, the Flying Wheels bike season will be over; we will be closed for the winter! The 2027 season will begin in late March or early April 2027 (weather permitting)

's Hours During Bad Weather If bad weather is forecast (heavy rain, snow, etc.), we may be closed on those days. If it's raining, please call us before you come by to make sure we're open. If you’ve booked a tour or reserved bikes and it’s raining, we’ll contact you in advance, but we’ll of course still be in the shop to discuss whether we can go ahead with the tour or bike rental.
Our shop is closed from November through February. These are the winter months in the Swiss Alps, so it’s quite unlikely that you’ll be able to go on a bike tour.
What does "Open only on request" mean? It is not sure if we will open and decide daily if we will open the store or not. Contact us and we will let you know if we will open our store or not. If our answering machine turns on or we don't answer your email directly, our store is closed.
