Is this the right bike for me?
It's a lot of fun to ride our tandem together and explore the area around Interlaken. The person sitting in the back can just sit back and enjoy the ride—they don't need to know how to balance the tandem.
Do we fit on the tandem?
The tandem is available in only one frame size.
The person sitting in the front steers the bike. People between 5'7" and 6'3" tall can fit in the front seat.
The person on the rear saddle fits if the height is between 1.50 m and 1.75 m. Smaller people and children can not reach the pedals and can not use the tandem.
What kinds of routes is the tandem suitable for?
Our tandem is perfect for all flat paths. That means you can ride to the shores of Lake Thun or Lake Brienz and have a blast doing it! The tandem is not suitable for routes with uphill or downhill sections. So you can’t ride the tandem to Lauterbrunnen, Iseltwald, or the Giessbach Falls, or around the lakes. For those trips, we recommend our e-bikes.
The tandem bike CANNOT BE BOOKED ONLINE! Please send an email if you'd like to rent it.
Full day = from morning to afternoon (see opening hours). The price is therefore not valid for 24 hours.
The minimum rental period for online bookings is 4 hours. A shorter rental period is only possible directly in the bike store on site.
Please note that a “full day” does not mean 24 hours, but rather from when our shop opens until it closes. Overnight rentals are available upon request for non-e-bikes. Once we’ve confirmed that your hotel or youth hostel has a secure, lockable room for bicycles, you can rent one overnight. Without a lockable room, theft is not covered by insurance, and you would have to pay for a stolen bicycle yourself.
We do not normally rent out our e-bikes overnight. Overnight e-bike rentals are available only during the off-season (April, May, and October) upon request via email. Overnight rentals are not available through our online booking system.
It is not possible to hire this bike for several days.
